Join the next round

If a match is already running, wait in the lobby and turn AFK off. Use SPECTATE to watch a crossing while you wait.

The reviewed guide shows MENU, EMOTE, AFK and SPECTATE at the side, and SERVERS near the top-right. Look for those labels if the layout has moved.

As a Runner: leave room to turn

Your first goal is to finish a crossing. Choose a path with space on either side, and practise changing direction before a Chaser is beside you.

Try one side dash in open space before relying on it in a chase. If you use Cloak, change your route while hidden and keep moving; you can still be hit.

As a Chaser: watch the route

Watch where a Runner is heading and approach that route. Following every turn from behind makes it harder to close the gap.

After a missed catch, work out which part failed. If you could not get close, compare movement or pulling tools. If you got close but missed the swing, compare Big Dagger.

Set your loadout before the next round

• Open MENU, then SHOP, and look at the ability and item tabs.
• Unlock an ability before trying to equip it.
• Check item charges; an equipped empty item will not help.
• Keep Coins and Gems separate when planning purchases.

Read the displayed conditions before choosing Hero or Chicken. Current rewards and requirements have not been verified for this guide.

Watch before your next round

Start at 1:19 for movement basics or 1:50 for camera direction. Later chapters cover teammate rescue, the Hero choice and Gem pickups. Choose a chapter to open that part of the video.
